Improved Image Cropping/Centering
I swear I remember this being better in the app in the past. The built in image ratio is unnatural and the overkill on image zoom is annoying when ppl are already likely struggling to find photos they love to show that represent them well.

Skylar Van HorneSo feedback was needed because the Mutual team "doesn't know how to move forward on this." I'm no app developer, but something tells me it shouldn't be too difficult to change some image insert coding to allow for original sizes of images to be inserted regardless of ratio. Sure it's nice to fill your screen perfectly with someone's photo like Mutual has generally done, but I don't think autofilling some black space around the edges on images that don't fit your ideal/suggested ratio would hurt. Maybe you guys want to be a little more specific about what you'd like to clarify about this? It's not like I'm getting paid for this. XD

Jared SmithI agree, it is very hard to correctly center/position a photo so it shows up properly in the preview.

EricI would add to this that the app should not force a user to crop a photo In any particular way but allow the user the freedom to crop it the way they want. I have had a few times now where this app seemingly forces an “auto zoomed” in view of the picture I want to use. Unfortunately, some photo’s are no good if they are zoomed in at all. In these instances I would prefer to simple center the photo and if needed slightly zoom in.

Audra CoulsonAll my pictures end up weirdly zoomed in or are cropped weirdly which is super frustrating. We also can’t add landscape type photos which negates a lot of the stuff I have available

MichaelYep this is a huge problem they’ve had since it’s inception. A bunch of people get around it by taking a screenshot of your picture in edit mode on iPhone (it is zoomed out on that). Hope that helps you guys! but the problem is lots don’t know this, especially the older generation and so I have to see a bunch of zoomed in photos that do me no good. Frustrating.

CarliThis drives me nuts! Try to add a picture of my family and it crops half of them out

MichaelFor the first time since Mutual’s inception it works now! It seems it might lessen photo quality compared to when had to take a screenshot of my picture in edit mode (on the iPhone) but at least I don’t have to do that anymore!

ScaffI wholeheartedly agree with this. I've found that I'm not able to express much about myself at all on my profile and tried to put text in one of my pictures but the cropping kept cutting out so much of my words that it wasn't worth it to figure out.

SThe crop always pops back to the top of the image, it does no allow centering at the below the top
