Repeal height filter
This encourages the stigma of rejecting someone based on their height. A genetic predisposition that cannot be changed.

BrettIf it is a dealbreaker (and for many tall women and short men) it is, wouldn’t you rather have that out of the way upfront? Pictures fill the exact same role as a proxy for attractiveness, which in many cases is also genetic. Are you in favor of getting rid of pictures? More information, not less, is better.

Morgan MergedMy one wish is to have the height filter be free because I am short and keep coming across guys who are over 6'0 which makes swiping a waste of time because guys of preferred height range are like needles in the haystack.

Cameron MergedI know for me a lot of girls won’t date me because I’m a little shorter than them. Which is body shaming, and I know for a fact a woman would hate it is we asked them to be a certain weight.

KatieHeight filter and weight filter are two completely different issues. You could have a room full of people that weigh 150, and could all be different BMIs. Beyond that, you could have multiple people of the same height and BMI, that won’t “look” like the same weight, because muscle tissue weights more than fat tissue. And that doesn’t even take into account how different people carry their weight. Unlike height, which is a much more concrete measurement, there’s so much variation to someone’s weight, health, and physical appearance that it wouldn’t make sense to filter by weight. You don’t need their weight number to tell if you’re physically attracted to someone. But for many people, height is a dealbreaker in attraction, and not something you can tell from a photo. It’s better to have that information up front than to meet in person and be disappointed.

PaigeAs a tall woman, I’m just generally not attracted to guys significantly shorter than me. I’m not making a judgement on whether someone is a fun person or a nice guy, I’m thinking about if I’ll have to break my neck to kiss him. I also don’t care if someone decides not to swipe up on me after seeing my height, as it’s only fair. I can’t expect someone who’s 5’3 to carry a stepstool around, now can I?

soccerboy MergedIt's fairly simple. Either the height filter should be removed, or a weight filter should be added. It doesn't make sense to have one but not the other. I've ready some posts about a weight filter "not fitting in with company values". I'm fine with that. But how does a height filter fit your company values then? If it doesn't, get rid of it. If it does, it makes no sense to not include weight.

Aaron HuangI'm fine with this filter. This one is actually objective from a biological standpoint.
