Why? Some people go hunting and that could even be a huge part of who they are.

It's not against God's laws or the laws of the state. Why should mutual have "laws" against it? There are so many other things to ban before banning guns. (Piercings, tattoos, drugs, alcohol, etc)

Wrong idea. When I see something I don't like about a person, I can just swipe down and move on. People have hobbies and beliefs. It's important for photos to show who a person is whether that's horses, or skiing or temples or traveling or guns or tatooes or dogs or cats or gym or whatever. If someone has a photos that has something I don't like, I can just move to the next. The photos allow people to match with those with similar interests (including guns) - that's the whole point if mutual.

I think gun pics help people decide if they’re interested. If you’re against guns, then seeing a gun pic will help you avoid wasting your time.

This would be a narrow minded and poor update. Most members are pro gun. If someone doesn’t like guns, then move on instead of being offended by someone else’s legal and church appropriate hobbies.

This is insane, proper gun use is a legal practice and as other members have mentioned it is a large part of some members hobbies and activities. If someone doesn’t like that someone has a gun in a picture, this app already has a system in place for just such a scenario...swipe down. We need to stop censoring some because others feel the need to remain sheltered from things that they don’t like. People participate in many things I don’t like, and I get to deal with it. That’s what is called “adulting” these days, and anyone over 18 better start getting used to it. Or it will be a miserable existence for themselves and everyone else they encounter. And how is this under consideration with only 3 votes? To be a little ironic, is mutual trigger happy to implement something it’s users aren’t for? Seems a little agenda-like.

Maybe draw the line at guns are allowed but not pictures with you, your gun, and the game you shot? Or even allow those pictures as long as there’s no blood & guts shown? Also the same should apply for fish

I think this would be a bad idea. So many people on the app like their guns, and its part of their personality. I understand maybe banning pictures of dead animals people have killed. But guns, no.

Why is this under consideration? Jared on April 2nd, wrote all that needs to be said. You can be a vegan who belongs to PETA, but keep your silly notions to yourself. The scriptures talk endlessly about using animals for farming & eating them. Also mentioned=protecting your nation, people house or immediate family. Buy a vowel and get a clue…

I agree that those photos are unappealing, but I also agree with the previous comments- they’re a good way to instantly tell if someone’s not a good match.

I would maybe say add a tag about gun use (maybe there already is?) and filter out that tag instead. That way the hunters and gun nuts get to keep their photos, and you don’t have to see them.

If you have an issue with guns, wouldn't you rather have gun photos up so you know not to swipe up? All this will do will make the gun thing an unpleasant surprise.

Guns and dead animals in profiles make me feel very uncomfortable, but I’d rather they be allowed so that I know to swipe down on that person

Maybe instead of banning gun photos ban pics of bloody animals when people are hunting. Or at least put a trigger warning!

If someone is scared of a inanimate object, and that makes them uncomfortable, I’d rather them swipe down and know that up front. If you ban gun photos, you should ban photos of cars, toasters, and rocks.
Guns are there for the protection of family. If a girl doesn’t know this, and value them, I would rather know up front than after wasting time with a courtship giving her the wrong idea.
