Search By name
I’m friends with a lot of husband material guys but both of us are too scared to make a move. They never show up in my feed so it would be nice to search by his name then send him a cute message.

TobyI've done screenshots before to remind me of someone, but no way to find them again. If I get busy when they pop up, but I don't have time to send a good note in moment, they are gone forever.

Or if I see someone elsewhere, look them up on mutual and maybe match verses pressure on other places -

DevinI personally feel uncomfortable with the idea of people being able to search for my profile. There are certain people who I am trying to stay away from and would feel unsafe if they would be able to search my profile.

Jonathan HansenDevan I can appreciate that. It is scary knowing there are people out there that stalk you but there is a blocking feature that can be used. There are people that I try to avoid too. And if they show up on this app I’ll just block them

A Mutual UserAgreed. There should also be strong consideration for setting up custom app alerts including an alert tone for when a specific person signs up for Mutual and verifies his or her profile. Maintain options to send a note/profile boost/swipe up.

JordanI would like to very soon see a permanent option to search for specific profiles by first and last name, even though only the first name is publicly visible. There should also be a permanent menu option likewise to set up an app notification when a specific user sets up a Mutual app profile and verifies their profile, maintaining the options to send a note, comment on some part of their profile, etc.

I can't find the guys that I've seen before to reread their bios. Sometimes I swipe up and I forgot that I'm not scrolling and I didn't want to swipe up. I'm super frustrated.
The 1st day I went through everybody evidently evidently and these subsequent days I will have 1 or 2 people that I get to look at and I can't go back to any other people. I'm sure I'm probably doing something wrong but there's no tutorial for me that is available for me to learn how the process works. -

The person starting this thread failed to realize that perhaps other men aren't showing up in her feed because they've swiped the X. If a guy isn't making a move, then they aren't making a move.
That sounds harsh, but I hope to point out that the proposed feature is not worth it. Even if certain people could be blocked, that doesn't prevent the "future stalkers" that would search my profile by name. If a guy really likes me, he can talk to me in person.
I use Mutual to find people outside my normal circle. -

TirzahMaybe add a name pronunciation guide kinda like LinkedIn. I would hate to be filtered just because someone was scared of how to say my name. “Tier-zuh”
Also, people with intriguing names are aware it may be hard to say so don’t be shy, just ask. -

NickyFilter by name. I won’t date anyone with my ex husband’s name or my sons name. It would be convenient to add that filter to your preferences. I care about that more than I do height.

NickYeah, it would be nice if you met someone at an activity or something and would be interested in talking more but didn't get their number to be able to do a quick search to see if they are on Mutual, that way you can send them a note letting them know you enjoyed talking with them. I think if someone is paying for premium and has unlimited swipes anyway, why make them go through the whole list of people again to try to find someone.

RansomjDon't get me wrong, but a man who's "scared" to make the first move is NOT husband material. A real man will always approach no matter what the situation is. Real men need to know how take the risks like pros!

I also feel like adding a search would not be healthy for the toxic people that would want to use the fearures to look up their exes or with any other intentions besides healthy dating -

RuthYou know what’s super weird ? I’ve had the same few dozen guys show up multiple times on my feed and im like, dude I swiped down. Why am I seeing him again ?
Also it really sucks that it’s now showing people who aren’t even online. If they haven’t been online in more than two weeks, their account should automatically be paused. It’s a waste of our time, money, hope, and expectations when that person isn’t even on the app anymore. Please do something about this. It’s getting frustrating.
